The Environment Agency’s Incident Management Strategy sets our direction and ambition in Incident Management through to 2022; we are a professional and trusted emergency responder, helping people and business and the environment to be more resilient to natural threats and environmental hazards.

We've made great progress in our incident management capabilities in recent years, investing in planning, preparedness and response, and learning from past incidents. We do things well and are respected for our work, but we want to continue to improve, to ensure we are doing all we can to look after our staff, whom we rely on to provide this great service.

As an Officer working in Digital Services within Incident Management & Resilience you’ll use your expertise to support the delivery of our priority Digital Office 365 projects including delivery of:

• A new Incident Management Toolbox system based on SharePoint Online using the latest technology;
• Implementing a new Office 365 email system called Exchange Online for Incident Management
Incident Management is our number one priority and the Digital Services – Major Project’s team are central to delivering the business improvements identified in our IM strategy enabling us to be in the best shape to prepare for, respond to and recover from incidents.
Through your experience to date you will ideally be able to demonstrate some of the following:

• A good understanding of incident management and preferably have an incident management role;
• An efficient and logical approach to project management;
• Able to produce analysis, documentation and reports;
• Monitor progress to support in the delivery of priorities;
• Excellent customer service, communications and interpersonal skills;
• It will be an advantage if you are skilled at influencing and persuading people;
• You’ll be a self-starter who can work well within a dispersed team.
Closing Date: 21st April 2019 at 23:55 hours. Interviews are likely to be held in Leeds on the 2nd and 3rd of May.

You must have line management approval to come offline for this assignment - for a period of 12 months, before you apply.

Nationwide Hub offices are preferred, however all EA office locations will considered.
