The post sits within the National FCRM Programme Development Team in the FCRM Directorate. The team is responsible for allocating funding across FCRM’s programmes and managing the performance of these programmes to ensure we meet our corporate targets.
In the role you will be responsible for developing and maintaining guidance for the FCRM asset maintenance programme. Working across the FCRM Directorate and Ops to ensure that we develop robust and accurate programmes. An example of the work is managing maintenance obligations to ensure that legally required work is funded.
In the role you will work with a number of teams across the FCRM business and feed in to senior management and governance groups – therefore the ability to communicate effectively and tailor information for the audience is important. You will also need to be competent dealing with information and being able to use information to inform decisions and messages. You will be responsible for dealing with request for information relating the revenue maintenance allocation.
You will be involved in running scenarios to ensure that the allocation of funding to our FCRM Assets maximises the reduction in flood risk through our asset management.
The National FCRM Programme team sits within the FCRM Directorate and is responsible for building and analysing programmes.
The sub-team focus on allocating revenue funding using AIMS Planning. Working across the business we ensure that asset maintenance programmes are prioritised in a way that maximises the investment in our assets. This involves influencing policy, updating systems and using our flood risk data to drive decision making.
Through experience to date you will ideally be able to demonstrate some of the following:
• An understanding of the impact of flooding
• Ability to develop and maintain good relationships with customers
• Delivery of work by planning, tracking, gathering and maintaining data/information
• An appreciation of flood risk assets or assessment management
• Ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a team to make decisions and achieve planned outcomes
• Be a team player and able to work in a dispersed team.
• Good organisational skills.
Excellent communication skills are a must as you’ll be working with a diverse range of people across the business.
Experience of using the AIMS Planning system is desirable, although not a must.
Intermediate to advanced excel skills.

The role is within a National team so can be based in various locations or hub offices. Some travel is required. This post is for a 12 month assignment for a full-time position.
