The Local Delivery Lead supports the Solent & South Downs' two Operations Departments, providing oversight of the resource funding, allocations, monitoring and associated reporting throughout the year.

This senior role is crucial to the effective functioning of our Operations Departments.
The role is varied and includes:

• Monitoring and reporting business metrics (Flood and Coastal Risk Management measures)
• Leading on commercial framework-related work
• Supporting the prioritisation of programmes of work, based on resource available
• Supporting, with a strategic overview of specific programmes of work
• Working alongside other G6 technical leads to support delivery of area wide goals

This is an Area-wide role regardless of line management and office base; it is programme focused, rather than project focused.

Responding to incidents is a central part of what we do. You will be required to have an incident role and make yourself available to respond to incidents, or provide business continuity support during an incident. This may attract an additional payment and full training and alternative working arrangements will be available to support you with your incident role.
You will work within one of our two Operations Management Teams alongside other Area-wide focused roles (Asset Management Lead, Catchment Engineer, Capital Delivery Leads, Incident Management Lead). The role supports delivery of work through our six Field Teams, four Asset Performance Teams and supply chain; you'll be helping focus over 130 staff minimise flood risk and enhance the environment in Hampshire, West & East Sussex and the Isle of Wight.
You must have a thorough working knowledge of:

•Flood and Coastal Erosion Risk Management (FCERM) funding mechanisms, including allocation, monitoring & reporting
•FCERM business measures, including monitoring, reporting, and the assorted programmes of work that they drive
•Commercial frameworks – you will lead the Area’s input on the Field Operations Framework (FOF) so will be familiar with the most recent contractual arrangements. You must also have familiarity with the alternate frameworks and the interim arrangements until the issue of the new FOF

FCERM Operational Activity – you will be familiar and have worked on the array of workstreams that make up the bulk of our FCERM operational work including:

• Asset inspection process with an understanding of asset-related data
• Planned, reactive and intermittent asset maintenance
• Vegetation maintenance and incident response
• Below required condition assets
• End of life assets & the effectiveness initiative
