Do you want to play a key role in making London greener, more resilient and a better place to live and work?
We are looking for a Senior Engagement Advisor to manage our strategic engagement with stakeholders in London. Engagement is central to everything we do in the London Area and vital for delivering EA2025. This is a fast paced, cross-cutting and dynamic role responsible for:
• Identifying opportunities to work in partnership and collaborate to deliver EA2025 outcomes
• Strategic stakeholder engagement planning and evaluation
• Co-ordination and delivery of strategies for key stakeholders including the Greater London Authority, Transport for London, London Assembly and Port of London Authority
• Supporting the Area Leadership Team to manage potentially contentious issues with stakeholders
• Working with Account Managers to join up key environmental themes and subject matters
• Preparing speeches and presentations for our Area Leadership team
• Line management and matrix management
• Managing relationships with internal and external communications and engagement professionals
• Supporting internal communications to our staff
• Being part of national engagement networks and bringing learning and updates back into the area
• Maintaining awareness of political and social issues which may impact our engagement
An integral part of London Area, you will report to the Environment Planning and Engagement Manager. The successful candidate will be comfortable working across the Area, the business and externally.
We are looking for an experienced engagement professional who has:
• Passion for making London a better place to live, work and visit for the communities we serve
• Proven track record of placing Equality Diversity and Inclusion at the heart of their decision making and actions
• The ability to comfortably work in teams and independently
• Understanding and experience of using the Working With Others approach to engagement
• Exceptional leadership, communication and organisational skills
• Proven ability to deliver results through others
• The ability to prioritise a complex workload in a dynamic work environment
• Political awareness (essential) and experience of working with devolved/Mayoral authorities (desirable) in a complex stakeholder landscape
This role is eligible for an Inner London Weighting Allowance of £3776. We encourage people interested in both full time and flexible working (such as reduced hours) roles, and people from a diverse range of backgrounds to apply.

We will consider flexible working arrangements. Travel to our central London office will be required as will occasionally travel to other offices.
