An exciting opportunity has arisen to play a leading role in how Flood & Coastal Risk Management in East Anglia Area transforms its approach to programming and investment moving into the upcoming new spending review period.

East Anglia Area faces two Regional Flood & Coastal Committees, has a large and diverse capital and revenue programmes with a mix of delivery through Environment Agency teams, Internal Drainage Boards and Local Authorities.

You’ll become a key member of the FCRM leadership team and will need to forge constructive, collaborative relationships with peers within the Area, other Areas and nationally, with suppliers, other Risk Management Authorities and new delivery partners.
You’ll be the lead Programme Manager for the Anglian (Central) Regional Flood & Coastal Committee covering the Great Ouse catchment and North West Norfolk Coast.

You’ll provide inspiring and supportive line management for a small number of advisors, working as one-team across East Anglia to provide Programme Management Office and RFCC secretariat services.
I am looking for someone who is motivated by programming and investment, with impactful leadership to take us into the next programme. You’ll be someone who brings strategy to a sea of detail and can identify clear narratives from data and information. The ability to communicate these effectively to a variety of audiences is crucial.

You’ll also have or be expected to take on an incident response role, depending upon your circumstances.
