We are looking for someone to join our Business Team, in the role of Executive Coordination Manager (ECM).

You will work closely alongside another ECM to provide support to the Business Manager, Area Director (AD) and the wider Area Leadership Team (ALT).

The focus of this role is on Business Management and Improvement. This means providing direction and assurance on area and national tasks and projects. Key work streams will include:

• Working with our Business Partners in Defra and EA national teams
• Operations Gateway and National Business Portfolio actions
• Local Outcome Planning and reporting through our quarterly performance reviews
• Internal communications with the Area Director including People Board organisation
• Leadership community events and skills development
• Risk and assurance of our actions in our risk register
• Developing our ALT secretariat and supporting their portfolios

We are looking for someone who can work closely with a wide breadth of complex workloads and teams across the Area and ALT to help deliver Area wide initiatives and embed local priorities.

We encourage everyone to undertake a role in Incident Management and will support your development to achieve this.

The Business Team leads on activities related to Business Planning (using our Local Outcome Plan through area governance groups), Risk Management process and assurance, Performance Reporting, People Groups and cross area improvements, Health and Safety assurance, Workforce Planning, and leadership & development.

You will also be part of the national ECM Community to share, develop and embed good practice across the country.
This role reports into the Area Business Manager. The Business Team comprises two ECMs, who lead a team with the primary focus of supporting the Area Leadership Teams (ALT) strategic priorities.

the Business team is responsible for planning and coordinating area-wide activities and events, working with teams across the whole Area.
This role requires someone with exceptional organisational skills, who can manage and prioritise workloads, encourage commitment and buy-in to promote action and deliver results.
