The Ock NFM Project Manager role is being extended for an additional year. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a large scale Natural Flood Management (NFM) project. The role will continue to identify and secure NFM opportunities in Ock catchment. You will work with internal teams, partners, consultants and landowners to create a catchment scale viable NFM plan. You will need knowledge of land management practices, flood risk, Water Framework Directive (WFD), biodiversity and water quality drivers to maximise the multiple benefits. The role will require strong influencing, communication and leadership skills. An understanding of design and commercial process’ is desirable, as the post will work closely with National Capital Programme Management Service (ncpms), consultants and contractors.
You will report to the Environment Programme Team Leader. You will work closely with the Ock Catchment Coordinator, many internal teams and external organisations via the Ock Catchment Partnership Host, to identify and develop feasibility of NFM interventions. This role also requires close liaison with the Abingdon FAS project, being delivered by ncpms.
With the drive and determination to see difficult challenges through, the successful candidate will be a role model for project management in the Area and will demonstrate the following experience and skills:

• Ideally an accomplished Project Manager with a strong track record of delivery (or of delivering good outcomes through other routes).

• Ability to manage and prioritise diverse workload, often to tight deadlines.

• Ability to work well with many teams and external partners.

• Understanding of our corporate priorities for Environment & Business and FCRM

• Good communication and influencing skills, ideally with coaching experience.
