You’ll play an important role in managing how we will engage with our partners as we transition through EU Exit, helping to maintain as well as grow our engagement portfolio during this very important period of change and opportunity. You will lead our approach to managing our reactive and/or proactive engagement work during this period.

You will work closely with the Customers and Engagement team as well as the EU Exit single point of contact for SSD to ensure integration and a one team approach to reactive and proactive communications and engagement. Occasionally, there will be opportunities to support the current C&E Team Leader and take on additional responsibilities and projects within the SSD area.
The Customers and Engagement team is a centre of excellence for customer service and reputation. We manage a diverse range of requests from active and informed customers, including MPs, and we lead engagement advice on FCRM projects and contentious issues to make sure that our reputation is considered in all that we do. We are a professional, friendly, people focused team who are fantastic at working together to get the best outcome for our customers.
You’ll be an excellent communicator with drive, enthusiasm and a genuine interest in telling a compelling message to our audiences. Experience and confidence in identifying and influencing others to achieve business outcomes is key for this role. You'll have excellent written and verbal communication skills and be able to produce high quality, accurate and clearly understood work. It would be desirable for you to have an interest in the political landscape as it responds to EU Exit.
You'll be proactive, positive and a quick-learner, with a strong customer-focus, and desire to make a difference.
Leading and coaching others will come naturally to you. You'll be organised and have excellent attention to detail, ensuring our work is delivered to a high standard.
You'll be able to work as part of a team and individually to prioritise an interesting and varied workload, working under pressure, flexibly and at pace to deliver outcomes.
Closing Date: 22nd February 2019 at 23:55 hours

This is currently a fixed term position for 12 months.

We encourage everyone who feels they have the right skills for this role to apply, including those of you who work part time or compressed hours, and we will support a job share arrangement where feasible. Please let us know your working preferences if you are selected for interview.

We are a dispersed team that supports the entire SSD area; as such there will be an occasional need to travel to the different offices across the Area.
