Do you want to make Thames a better place? We are seeking to permanently recruit someone to lead our Integrated Environment Planning Team in Thames Area.

Your style will help inspire and motivate a team of environment planning specialists to ensure they identify and produce the evidence to support the delivery of a wide range of environmental outcomes.

Leading a busy team we need someone who can prioritise effectively. You should be a keen networker and enjoy influencing others. Excellent customer service is vital for this role as is a broad understanding of our business.

With excellent people skills you will provide leadership for your teams’ health, safety and wellbeing as well as ensure their personal development remains a priority during a very busy year.

We encourage everyone to undertake a role in an Incident Management and will support your development to achieve this.

Given the multifunctional nature of the teams work you will also be required to work closely with many other Area teams as well as the WLB Business group.
The Thames Integrated Environment Planning team is a lively team comprised of environment planning specialists and officers who primarily focus on water quality, water resources and river basin planning.

We work with operational teams and national colleagues, to collate, analyse and share data and environmental evidence that informs and drives area priorities.
We are seeking someone with strong organisational awareness, excellent communication and interpersonal skills that will be complimented by your enthusiasm to achieve results and to innovate, influence, lead and coach others to do the same.

You'll be passionate about developing yourself and others and also about providing an open, inclusive, and trusting culture where people can be their best.

You will be comfortable and effective working as part of the wider EPE leadership team.

You will have excellent customer skills and experience in influencing and engaging with internal and external customers and stakeholders including those at a senior level.

You will need to demonstrate a flexible approach to work and will be able to make decisions using available information and evidence.
