The Future of National Telemetry (FoNT) business change team are looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic person to work within the national telemetry service, delivering new data communications methods and telemetry into the business.

This exciting project will change the way we communicate with outstations in the field and replace our 6 telemetry systems with a single national solution. This major transition will require implementation of new ways of working within teams across the business. You will be responsible for:

-Planning and implementing new systems improving consistency in telemetry delivery across the business.
-Working closely with the telemetry service, Area Hydrometry and Telemetry teams, MEICA, FIM, DDTS and external suppliers.
-Understanding the complex interactions that enable end to end telemetry to function, and use your technical knowledge to make sound evidence based decisions to facilitate a smooth transition into the business.
-Representing the ‘Change Workstream’ at Project Board meetings as required
-Holding a 24/7 telemetry related incident role

This challenging role provides a great opportunity to use your skills to shape delivery of our telemetry services into the future. We are looking for a flexible, proactive individual who has the ability to operate within a dispersed team.
You will be part of the FoNT change workstream within the FoNT team. The Business Change Manager will direct your work as you will be delivering new technology and ways of working into the business. However, you will be based within the national telemetry service, reporting to the local Team Leader, and forming part of the existing STA community, sharing your knowledge of the new services with the telemetry staff.
We are looking for someone who can demonstrate the following:

- Is delivery focussed and flexible in their approach.
- Has a good knowledge of telemetry with experience of scoping, planning and implementing projects involving changes to live systems.
- Has a clear understanding of the customers and stakeholders of telemetry and their interactions
- Is proficient at building and sustaining relationships across a broad range of staff at all levels.
- Ability to work effectively in partnership with others to enable you to deliver both changes to the current telemetry technology and the associated ways of working within the business.
- Has strong influencing and negotiating skills to gain appropriate outcomes both internally and externally,
- Experience of leading contract and SLA reviews would be an advantage.
- An understanding of ITIL is preferred, but not essential.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

The role will require frequent national travel and occasional overnight stays.
The role is full time, but other working patterns could be considered.
You will be required to participate on a telemetry duty roster.
