We are the National Monitoring Field Team (NMFT). We consist of 15 field teams and one Field Team Technical Services (FTTS) team.

Do you have excellent data management skills? Do you have experience of working with internal and external IT partners? Are you able to lead on and translate complex technical issues to a non-technical audience?

We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated and inspirational person to join FTTS to provide technical leadership on the system used to schedule the Environment Agency’s monitoring programmes; Salesforce Field Service (the replacement to Click). You will also be heavily involved in the technical leadership of RouteLIMS and MSIS.

The focus for this role will be:

• Lead on day-to-day maintenance of Salesforce FieldService, RouteLIMS and MSIS.
• Troubleshot and resolve technical system and data issues
• Test and deploy fixes to our live system
• Work with IT providers on developing, testing and implementing enhancements of our scheduling software
• Maintain system documentation and training guides
• Communicate and build relationships with our customers
• Provide training, mentoring and guidance to colleagues

You will be comfortable talking to a variety of audiences and able to influence stakeholders to ensure that NMFT is able to deliver the Environment Agency’s monitoring programmes.
The Field Team Technical Services are part of the National Monitoring Field Team. We are a caring, friendly team that are dispersed around the country.

We are responsible for the programming and scheduling of the Environment Agency’s routine monitoring programmes and we have technical ownership of RouteLIMS, MSIS and Salesforce FieldService (previously Click).

The team is a dispersed team but travel to meetings will be required.
We’re looking for a motivated person who has excellent data management skills, is a natural problem solver and is able to clearly communicate on technical subjects.

You must be comfortable and confident representing NMFT in technical meetings with Area/National colleagues and with internal and external IT providers.

The following skills are required for this role:

•Excellent IT skills including experience of databases and management tools such as Access, Excel, ODBC or Power BI.
•Experience of handling, manipulating and summarising large data sets
•Experience of leading colleagues in a technical discipline
•Ability to positively influence a wide audience from field staff to senior managers
•Experience of building and maintaining relationships with colleagues to achieve a positive outcome.

The following skills are desirable for this role:

•Experience of working with Salesforce products
•Experience of working with internal (e. g. DDTS) and external IT providers (e.g. Capgemini, Boxxe, Salesfroce) to improve our systems
This role is office based (location flexible), with regular home working opportunities. As a dispersed team most of our work is virtual. However it may require some national travel for meetings.
