Do you want to work for an organisation that values difference and includes everyone?

Then the Environment Agency is the organisation for you!

We are fully committed to being an inclusive employer and ensuring equal opportunities for everyone. We welcome flexible working patterns for all our vacancies, including job share.

This is an exciting time to join the People and Change team. We are looking for someone to support the delivery of our resourcing programme to enable a professional, skilled and diverse workforce that reflects the communities we serve.

You’ll provide great leadership of our Onboarding and Induction Teams, which will include gathering key business intelligence, influencing new ways of working and process implementation with our partners, problem solving and triaging the programme. To do this, you’ll build relationships with business leads across national and area departments and interface with our HR, Strategic Resourcing and shared services teams. You will be visible and accountable for the successful delivery onboarding and induction programme, influencing key stakeholders along the way. You will provide line management within the team to support you in delivering this busy programme.

This role directly line manages up to 5FTE so a passion for developing into a leadership role is essential.

You will be passionate about the work of the Environment Agency, possessing the ability to think differently to overcome problems, and identify better ways of working
The People & Change department is an inclusive, diverse and passionate new team within the Chief Operating Officer's Directorate. Our vision is for the organisation to thrive and improve so we can create better places for people, wildlife and the environment. We work with colleagues across the organisation to ensure that priorities are informed by evidence and insight; people can be their best selves at work; and frontline delivery is efficient, equitable and sustainable.
You may have a resourcing or programme management background, but what is most important is your vision and ability to think outside of the box.

A key area of work for this role is supporting the delivery of our onboarding and induction programme with key stakeholders (HR, Strategic Resourcing, EDI team and third party contractors). You will need a good knowledge and experience of people matters, resourcing practices and programme delivery: you should have experience of developing and supporting new ways of working, and building relationships quickly and effectively.

Through your experience to date you’ll be able to demonstrate some of the following:

• Good planning skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities and deliver at
pace to tight timescales.
• The ability to engage and inspire others,
• The ability to work autonomously,
• Programme/project management experience,
• Communication and engagement experience
Everyone starting in a new role will be welcomed into the team and provided with all the equipment, training and support needed.
