Strategy - Senior Officer role entails strong strategic thinking combined with excellent business analytics and insight. Within the generic role profile description it draws upon elements of the Senior Specialist and Senior Business Partner roles.
The successful candidate will work to align environmental and business function strategies to enable us to tackle the challenges we face as effectively as possible. We seek to increase staff awareness and engagement with our vision, leveraging the creativity and innovation of our people. In connecting our culture and strategy we aim to raise motivation levels and to re-enforce and build upon the collective appetite to work with others to deliver environmental outcomes.
The team works closely with a range of technology platforms and applications to brigade our thematic environmental strategies and our functional business / enabling strategies. Existing knowledge / experience of working with IT applications and platforms and an interest in how it can be applied to engender insight and coordination across these strategies will be key to developing and innovating products and evolving services to support strategy development, evaluation and delivery.
The Strategy Hub team in the Chief Operating Officer's Directorate provides a critical new function for the business. This involves collating convening and coordinating strategic thinking across the business, providing value add products and services that provide insights on internal synergies and external injects on our corporate strategy. We also monitor how strategy coverts to delivery. A small team, it relies on strong networking and influencing skills working with others across the business and externally.
You will be a curious and agile thinker having worked in / contributed to strategic planning. You will have good communications, engagement and empathy skills, and an effective networker helping you to span organisational boundaries and silos. You will have strong business / data analytical skills and work comfortably with technology, An ability to use and apply applications and programmes will be a distinct advantage. You will have a passion for the delivery of our key ambitions and focus on working with others.
