This is a very flexible role that will give you the opportunity to experience a wide variety of work and develop widely transferable skills. The role will focus on working with digital transformation programmes and projects, such as the Regulatory Service Programme (RSP) and developing technological solutions to organisational problems. You will be shaping and delivering work into these programmes and projects, ensuring that ongoing digital transformation projects can deliver to specification, within the constraints of quality, time and costs and thereby achieve planned benefits.
Examples of the work involved:
• development of training and testing packages,
• working with our operational business teams to facilitate testing,
• Working with service designers to ensure we have clear success measures and clarity over what needs to be completed from the systems team perspective.
• Working with digital product owners to ensure effective and efficient management of backlogs is maintained and coordinated.
• Developing technical solutions and building solutions in PowerApps and SharePoint.
The E&B Systems team provide digital product development and configuration services, a support service to Operations staff, covering our business systems and technologies and we contribute to cross-cutting and high-risk projects. We deliver innovative, integrated, high quality outcomes. We drive new ways of working. We connect the business to the IT needed to deliver benefits for the environment. We provide a critical intelligent client role in digital IT services and operational activities.
As important as having the skills now, is the desire to develop. This is an ever-developing part of our business and as such we want people who are keen to grow their capability and people who have a desire to connect technology with the environment.

You will need to be agile in your approach. You will have a good understanding of business problems and the challenges faced by staff. You will need to improve our business ways of working.

You'll have very good written and verbal communication skills to work with internal and external parties. You will need to be comfortable engaging with staff at all levels and be adaptable to take on new work areas.

They will need to understand how data interacts with other teams and systems, understanding the interplay and data flow between systems.
