We’re looking for an enthusiastic and driven individual to join the Customers and Engagement team in Solent and South Downs.

This role is crucial to support our public service reputation across the Area. You'll be on the frontline of championing great customer service to ensure that people find us easy to do business with and that we get it right first time more often. You’ll be working closely with internal colleagues to provide information and answer questions from a wide range of customers on just about every topic we deal with (and a few we don’t).

Your primary focus will be supporting the area in responding to enquiries and Freedom of Information requests from external customers within statutory deadlines.
The Customers and Engagement team is a centre of excellence for customer service and reputation. We manage a diverse range of requests from active and informed customers, including MPs, and we lead engagement advice on FCRM projects and contentious issues to make sure that our reputation is considered in all that we do. We are a professional, friendly, people focused team who are fantastic at working together to get the best outcome for our customers.
You will:

• be a driven individual who enjoys working as part of a team.
• have the ability to communicate effectively in writing and in person;
• be confident at engaging with customers and staff over the phone or in person;
• have excellent organisational and influencing skills;
• have proven customer skills;
• have the ability to work unsupervised and as part of a team;
• have the ability to work flexibly, manage your own workload and meet tight deadlines.
Closing Date: 1st May 2019 at 23:55hrs

This is a temporary position, to backfill for maternity leave.

We encourage everyone who feels they have the right skills for this role to apply, including those of you who work part time or compressed hours, and we will support a job share arrangement where feasible. Please let us know your working preferences if you are selected for interview.

Interviews will likely take place in the weeks commencing 6 & 13 May 2019.

We are a dispersed team that supports the entire Solent and South Downs area; as such there will be an occasional need to travel to the different offices across the Area.
