Joining this crucial area of the business, you’ll deliver some of our exciting Projects and Packages of Projects, being involved from initial strategic planning through to implementation, construction and delivery. You will assist the Project Lead to provide a professional Project Management service internally and externally. You will also motivate and coordinate team members and external suppliers to ensure excellent standards are upheld.

Client liaison and stakeholder engagement will sit at the heart of your role, so you’ll be confident building excellent working relationships. Team working is very important and we recognise the value each team member contributes.

Our National Capital Programme Management Service delivers the majority of our important projects, mainly in the area of flood defence.

The River Thames Scheme (RTS) is one of our flagship projects and as part of the RTS team you'll be tasked with the delivery of this multi-million pound project. You'll join us at our co-located offices (currently in Redhill) for at least 3 days a week, with your substantive base being either Reading or Worthing.
Alongside a degree in a relevant field, you’ll have solid experience in both contract and project management, always willing to innovate and improve practices and procedures.
You’ll hold or be willing to work towards PRINCE2 Foundation status or equivalent, and you will be a member of the Institution of Civil Engineers, Chartered Institution of Water and Environmental Management or Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, or be committed to achieving this.
You’ll be a first-class communicator and skilled negotiator, used to delivering desired outcomes on time and to budget, by being a champion of environmental safety and practice.
