This role is based in our Water, Land and Biodiversity department. Day to day you will be supporting two key areas of work: incident preparedness and debt recovery. In Yorkshire area we respond to over 7000 environmental incidents a year. To do that effectively we need to ensure that our training and exercises are first class. You will be responsible for the administration and data storage of our incident response information and you will be actively involved supporting exercises to ensure we are always incident ready.

In addition you will support our debt group ensuring that customers who have bought services from us, pay in a timely way. This is a frontline role which involves contacting customers who have not paid on time.

You will also be asked to carry out other general administration duties as the need arises.
You will work in the Land and Water team based in Leeds. We are committed to ensuring that the water environment will be of good quality across Yorkshire, and that there is no deterioration in that quality. We do that by ensuring compliance with permits for both abstraction of clean water and disposal of liquid waste to the environment. We respond to incidents ensuring that polluters reinstate the environment when things go wrong.
We are looking for someone that has the ability to prioritise tasks effectively, meet appropriate deadlines, and work well within a team.
Previous experience in a customer focused, service delivery role is desired.
You must have a high level of written and oral communication skills, being able to deliver excellent customer service to both internal and external customers.
