This is a high profile role in a high profile area. Your primary role will be to provide secretarial support to our area leadership team. This will include tracking, collating and preparing information, emails and files, managing electronic calendars and being the first point of contact for your managers.

You will be organising meetings and electronic diaries, drafting and preparing documents, sharing information with different teams across the area and arranging travel and accommodation. You will be entering data and presenting information so you must be competent in using various IT applications, especially Microsoft Outlook.
You will be part of the busy Management Support team working with the Area Leadership team and the Area Director’s personal assistant. Team work and positive attitude are essential. Professional conduct is paramount at all times as the team engages with high profile internal and external customers. The team is part of Yorkshire’s Customer & Engagement team and consists of 6 secretaries, the Director’s PA and a Business Support Assistant.
We are seeking a secretary with excellent written and verbal communication skills. You’ll possess proven ability to work unsupervised, work well within teams, manage your own workload and meet challenging deadlines.
You will be proficient in Outlook, Word and Excel and possess first class organisation skills, customer focus and be capable of building and sustaining a close working relationship with your managers and their teams, customers and contacts. A business administration qualification would be desirable but not essential. There will be in-house and formal training courses provided and we would support the right candidate in working toward a professional qualification.

There are 4 positions available, 2 of which are permanent and 2 are fixed term contract until 31 March 2018.
The role is based in our Leeds office and one day per week travel to other area offices will be expected.
Travel expenses will be provided when working away from Leeds. Interviews for successful applicants will consist of capability and scenario based questions and a short practical exercise.

A business administration qualification is desirable but not essential and the right candidate would be encouraged and supported to work towards an external certification.
