Would you like to support the Environment Agency reduce flood risk and make a difference? This is a great opportunity to join a fantastic organisation where we put our people first. Our ambition - to make working here life enhancing. You’ll be part of a great team working primarily on our regulatory work. This will include providing customers with information and advice on flood risk and managing an Environmental Permit workload. There will also be opportunity to undertake mapping work as part of a joint team initiative to develop new flood risk management projects for our future programme of works (2021 to 2027). Experience of working within and knowledge of flood risk management and GIS is desirable but not essential and full training will be given.
Our Partnerships and Strategic Overview Teams (PSO) work as part of our flood family focusing on four key areas – regulation (e.g. planning consultations and environmental permits), strategic direction (having an overview of flood risk from all sources), project development and delivery (including with other Risk Management Authorities) to reduce flood risk to communities and evidence. The latter underpins all our work. We have a strong emphasis on working with partners, communities.
