This role will provide comprehensive secretarial and administration support to the two managers of the Environment Management department and their team leaders.

Duties will include:

- Management of the department managers’ inboxes and diaries
- Ensuring the managers are fully aware of all urgent and key actions
- Administration of executive correspondence and enquiries
- Administration of departmental inboxes related to waste and permitting
- Booking meetings and accommodation for senior staff
- Processing of orders, invoices and bills
- Recording minutes and actions from meetings.
- Providing cover and support to other area secretaries
- Administration of the Environment management departments Incident rota.

The Environment Management department is responsible for a wide range of activities. These include monitoring of the environment, regulation of waste and industry, responding to pollution incidents as well as the management of local fisheries and biodiversity.
- Ability to carry out a combination of assigned tasks, mainly unsupervised, but guided.
- Ability to prioritise workload and adapt to changeable deadlines.
- Ability to manage a diary and perform administrative tasks
- Previous experience as a secretary or administrator is desirable
- You'll have excellent written and verbal communication skills
- You'll be confident in engaging with staff and members of the public over the phone or in person.

This role will be based in our office in Wallingford, Oxfordshire. However the Environment Management department is also based in our office in Farnham, Hampshire, and Reading, Berkshire. The successful candidate will need to be able to travel to these locations.
