An exciting opportunity has opened up to work within the training and delivery part of the Incident Management & Resilience (IMR) Team. This role will be part of a small team of subject matter experts, who are responsible for generic incident management training and exercising, training National Incident Room staff and managing the Incident Management Academy (IMA).

You will enjoy working as part of a team and have a keen interest in learning and development within incident management activities. You will have good written and verbal communication skills and will be confident in dealing with a wide range of customers both internal and external. You'll assist in training our National Incident Room staff, have good presentation skills and be keen to develop people. You will support the team activities listed below.
As part of the team, you'll play a role in preparing for and managing all major incidents.

The activities within the team that you will support include:
• Managing the development programmes for generic incident management training
• Site manager for the Incident Management Academy
• Ensuring all National Incident Room staff are trained and capable
• Managing the National Exercise Programme
• Subject matter experts for other training/exercising across the Environment Agency.
You’ll be/have:
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Well organised and be a quick learner
• Experience of incident management roles and ways of working
• Able to work effectively under pressure and can juggle priorities to deliver within deadlines
• A good eye for detail and able to solve problems quickly and efficiently

Desirable

You’ll have:
• Experience of designing and delivering training
• An interest in the development of staff in their incident management roles
