The Environment Agency's National Flood and Coastal Risk Management Directorate works to protect England from the risks of flooding.

We need a professional Project Manager to help us deliver this year’s ambitious programme.

This assignment (fixed term contract for external applicants) presents an exciting opportunity to join the FCRM Portfolio team of project and programme professionals, and play a part in delivering business change nationally across the organisation.

The team is managing the delivery of a portfolio of change projects valued at over £25m this year. Our track record for delivery is exceptional, and we pride ourselves on building a one team approach between the directorate and Operations colleagues.
As a Project Manager you will be part of our dedicated resource pool and assigned to low to medium risk / complexity projects.

You'll have experience of planning and delivering a range of projects within a formal project environment (e.g. Prince2, Agile).

You'll know how to competently manage risks, suppliers, finances, internal and external stakeholders, communications and ideally projects with an IT content.

You'll have excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Experience of using Microsoft Project is essential.

The team is Bristol based but we operate from across the country.
