Lincolnshire and Northamptonshire Flood Coastal Risk Management team are at the forefront of protecting our communities from the risks posed by fluvial and tidal flooding, risks increased by climate change.

We will provide you with a great opportunity to apply your professional experience as a flood technical specialist on both fluvial and coastal schemes. Working closely with other flood risk teams, delivery partners and our communities; you will be working primarily to deliver various flood defence initiatives and projects. PSO teams focus on four areas – evidence (underpins all our work), strategic overview and planning (overview of flood risk from all sources and tactical direction), project development and delivery (the focus for this role) and regulation (e.g. planning consultations and environmental permits). We aim to create more resilient catchments so flooding causes less harm to people, results in less damage and those affected can return to normal more quickly.
We are looking for a experienced flood risk advisors who can lead others; are delivery and outcome focussed, can manage risks and initiate collaborative solutions. You’ll have:

• Experience of flood and coastal risk management.
• Understanding of project management and business case development.
• Capable of solving problems and delivering outcomes.
• Can demonstrate strong team and partnership relationship building and collaboration in delivering positive outcomes.
• Able to influence partners/stakeholders to deliver specific technical outcomes to required deadlines and expected standards.
• Wide ranging and effective communication skills.
• Organised and able to deliver time critical work by planning, tracking, gathering and maintaining data/information.
