The Environment Agency together with United Utilities, Rivers Trust, Association of Greater Manchester Authorities and Natural England are delivering Natural Course, an EU funded Life Integrated Project within the NW River Basin District. This innovative 10 year programme seeks to overcome barriers to strategic delivery of the Water Framework Directive and identify efficiencies for multi partner delivery.

This programme will build capacity across and beyond the partner organisations to achieve more for the environment than each can deliver independently. By working together and differently we will create real cultural, social, economic and environmental benefits for the Water Framework Directive.
You will be part of a multi organisational team who will be co-located, bringing together different cultures and creating innovative new ways of working. You'll need to develop strong relationships, providing support at all levels to develop and support the delivery of an integrated programme.
Design and implement appropriate monitoring, risk management and programme controls.

Monitor progress of work, identify gaps in the delivery of priorities and take remedial action to enhance delivery of the programme and recommend appropriate reallocation of time and effort.

Support delivery of identified projects and working groups to achieve well planned and managed integrated solutions that deliver the programme outcomes.

Guide, advise and support team members, ensuring that decisions are made on sound technical grounds and in line with best practice and timeframes.

Link with partners within the project to share best practice and evidence.
The post will be based at Richard Fairclough House or Lutra and will require a commitment to work from the Natural Course co-location offices in central Manchester approx 2 days a week.
