This is an exciting opportunity for anyone who would like to work as part of a national team and to directly contribute to measuring the performance of our fleet.
You will use specialist data and performance skills to inform leadership teams and colleagues to help the organisation improve its fleet performance. The analysis you provide will enable us to ensure we reduce our environmental footprint, maintain a cost effective fleet, to support our legal and health & safety responsibilities. You will be key in helping us achieving our aim of providing the right information, at the right time to the right people so that they can lead and deliver by making informed decisions. You will also participate in local projects to improve ways of working and support business change and efficiency improvements.

As part of the national Assurance and Reporting team, you will be expected to work with colleagues across the organisation and with external Customers, so the ability to build and maintain a working network of contacts is essential and requires excellent communication and influencing skills.
Defra Group Fleet Services now provides a collaborative fleet service to all organisations within the Defra group. The Assurance and Reporting team are specifically deliver the development and production of fleet performance, the management of fleet systems and data, in addition this includes fleet risk, Telematics and making best use of resources.
Ability to identify and produce reports and evidence to agreed timescales and quality standards to meet operational, management and customer needs, so that data and evidence and Environment Agency interests are accurately and effectively presented.

Ability to interpret complex evidence and data to enable effective solutions to technical problems and performance issues, communicating this to customers so decision ready information is easily understandable.
Experience of leading projects and providing functional / specialist input to improve ways of working and business change and efficiency.
You’ll be happy to hit the ground running and manage your own workload. You will be building relationships with both internal and external customers and with suppliers. Strong communication skills are essential
The location is flexible, but one of the National Hubs would be preferred. You'll understand and be comfortable with the challenges of remote working and management. Some travel will be required, including occasional overnight stays.
