We're looking for an enthusiastic and motivated person to lead and deliver our business. You should have outstanding leadership qualities, and be able to remain positive and focused on the key priorities, using your initiative to take timely decisions, and manage and prioritise a varied workload. The Fisheries, Biodiversity and Geomorphology (FBG) Team strive to protect and improve conditions for wildlife, delivering a wide range of environmental improvements. The Team is at the forefront of our efforts to protect water quality and quantity influencing multi-million pound investments made by water companies and other partners. They take a leading role to drive forward mitigation measures and restoration plans, in partnership with others. Your experience in collaborative and inclusive ways of working will support them to achieve these objectives.
You'll also have the opportunity to get involved with our incident response. We have a flexible range of roles you can volunteer for and you’ll get all the training and support you need.
FBG is a team of fisheries and biodiversity experts. They’re champions of the environment, winning awards for river restoration and actively working to conserve and maintain the diversity of freshwater fish, improve eel and fish passage, and restore biodiversity though environmental projects and fisheries enforcement.
Our technical experts provide advice on a range of activities, support the Flood Risk Capital Programme and help area Flood and Coastal Risk Management teams make more sustainable decisions.
