At the Environment Agency there’s so much more to our work than building flood risk management schemes or regulating industry. We strive to ensure that everything we do counts towards leaving a legacy to be proud of – for people, communities and the environment – for all of us to enjoy and for future generations.
As a Senior Contract Support Officer, you’ll use your expert financial knowledge and experience of SOP to provide comprehensive technical training and support to our Contract Support Officers. You’ll ensure they have the capability and skills to provide financial administrative support to Project Managers. Good training and coaching skills will see you develop CSOs and create consistency within the group on a national scale. Your excellent communication ability will enable you to build ever-stronger relationships with our Internal Teams and Supply Partners alike as you focus on investigating issues and anomalies to a satisfactory conclusion. You will liaise with other Senior CSOs to share best practice, make sure that process knowledge is maintained/updated across the CSO Community, in addition to quality assuring the work of the CSO community ensuring the right standards are achieved and procedures are followed. Where this is not achieved or followed corrective action will be taken to support the individual.
Responding to incidents is a central part of what we do. You will be required to have an incident role and make yourself available to respond to incidents or provide business continuity support during an incident. This may attract an additional payment and full training and alternative working arrangements will be available to support you with your incident role.
