A vacancy has arisen in the HR Transformation team to support HR colleagues across the Defra group in the review of HR policy and process.
The role is essential to the HR model. It ensures knowledge repositories such as the intranet (known as Easinet), are accurately updated to enable employees and line managers to take the correct actions, using the correct information. You will use the agreed guidelines to ensure content meets publishing standards and use your knowledge of HR policies/processes/services/systems to support content review and identify any impacts changes may have on other systems/processes/ways of working.
You will support the team with continuous improvement initiatives and also identify improvements based on customer feedback. You will be skilled at managing a busy and varied workload and maintain accurate records to ensure content changes and updates are accurate, well managed and version controlled.
The team support HR in delivering a service to our business. They collaborate and liaise with colleagues in HR, and other teams such as Service Management and Commercial who manage the third party contract for suppliers such as SSCL, to confirm service requirements. Roles and activities in the team are varied but focus on HR systems, policy and process.
Essential skills/experience to demonstrate in your application:
• You give examples of where you have reviewed requests from customers and identified the impacts on other process/policy/outcomes.
• You communicate effectively and provide examples of where you have produced large and/or complex information or content, tailored appropriately to the audience, within set guidelines.
• You have a broad understanding and working knowledge of HR processes and systems.
• You are skilled at achieving results through robust prioritisation, often dealing with conflicting, and/or tight deadlines.

Desirable skills/experience to demonstrate in your application:
• Use of a content management system to publish intranet or website content.

Whilst this position is based at Lateral, Leeds, there may be some travel required to other offices/locations. Requests to be based at other Environment Agency locations such as Horizon House, Bristol, will be considered.
