As an Asset Performance Advisor you will lead on and helping to shape a variety of work areas to ensure our flood defence assets are effectively managed across Hertfordshire & North London.

You'll have an excellent track record in working in partnership with others to reduce the risk of flooding to households through effective flood incident planning and asset management.

You'll work closely with the team leaders to provide sound advice to help deliver area priorities. You'll also coach and mentor other team members by sharing your wide knowledge of flood incident and asset data management.
It is an exciting time for APT at the moment. New systems and a stronger focus on Asset management is shaping how we manage our assets in the future.

We are moving into a new era of Flood Risk asset management looking to gain ISO55000 accreditation in the next few years and our teams are working together along with our internal partners towards that. We have a responsibility to ensure our assets are incident ready.
This role requires excellent communication, organisational and prioritisation skills to ensure our asset base is maintained to the required standards using a variety of Environment Agency IT systems.

Strong influencing, project and programming skills are also required to establish relationships between teams and ensure the effective planning and delivery of the programme.

The ability to solve problems and take sound decisions based on data and evidence will also form a part of the role.

Experience in incident planning and asset management activities is essential. Membership (or working towards membership) of an appropriate body such as ICE or CIWEM is preferred
