We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Marine Monitoring Officer to join our team on a fixed term contract. This role will help deliver a variety of marine monitoring projects throughout England focussing primarily on the East Coast. You'll perform operational shifts working on our Coastal Survey Vessel Humber Guardian covering the coast between Berwick and Great Yarmouth. This will include extended periods and weekends working away from your base. When you are not operational on a vessel you will manage data tasks and support projects. Please refer to our additional information document for further details on the role.
The post is based in our Peterborough office, but other EA base locations in the Midlands and the north of England will be considered, please contact us to discuss. The contract for the post is annualised hours and attracts a 15% shift allowance on top of basic salary. The successful applicant will be required to pass either a ML5 or ENG1 medical before employment. Failure to pass a medical will prevent the applicant from being employed. The role requires travelling between locations on a regular basis and as a result requires a full UK driving licence.
