This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated person to work within the EU Exit Chemicals Programme, but chemicals experience is not required.
The Programme is developing our future approach to protecting the environment from chemical manufacture, use & disposal.

You will manage small, important, sometimes complex projects, developing your skills over time. You will also help deliver projects managed by others including, for example, developing and maintaining project documentation, plans, communications, logs and trackers, and preparing progress reports and briefings.
You will also help deliver a variety of work across the Programme including, for example producing and/or amending benefits mapping diagrams and collaborating with internal colleagues and external organisations to collate and interpret qualitative information to produce Programme outputs.
You will be part of the Programme Delivery Team, a welcoming and motivated team managing and delivering the national Chemicals Programme. The team is working with others to develop our future approach to protecting the environment from chemical manufacture, use & disposal.
You will:
- be experienced in a project support or similar role where you have provided the type of work listed above
- have project management experience with experience of successful delivery
- be a well organised self-starter able to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- be flexible and willing to meet the challenges of complex changes, as this is an emerging and uncertain area of work
- have good attention to detail
- be able to distil complex information into outputs suitable for different audiences
- be a problem solver with a good delivery track record
- have a can-do attitude
- work well on your own initiative and as part of a team
- be able to collaborate with stakeholders to deliver effective Programme outputs
Procurement experience (procurement of contractors, purchase orders, invoicing), and experience in Microsoft Visio and Project would be useful.
The preferred the office location is Bristol. Other locations may be considered for the right candidate; but you will be expected to travel to Bristol regularly. You will also need to travel regularly for meetings across the UK.
Interviews are expected to be held 20 and 21 November in Bristol, but this may be subject to change.
