We are looking for a Technical Leader with an excellent understanding of whole life asset management and proven track record in delivering complex programmes of work.
You role will be to support the shift to a whole-life asset management approach. You will assure the management and resolution of below required condition Environment Agency & third party assets. You will build and maintain relationships with key internal and external partners to influence their activities and promote and enhance the Environment Agency’s goals and reputation. Key aspects of the role include

- Seeking to strengthen our engineering resilience in Asset Performance and support development of our whole life asset management approach
- Development of long term asset maintenance plans and ensuring timely, efficient and appropriate asset interventions
- Working with the Catchment Engineer in providing engineering assurance and support to AP teams in HNL (Below Required Condition process, innovative design, mentoring others)
Hertfordshire and North London Operations are responsible for the lifecycle delivery and operation of a diverse range of FCRM assets including earth banks, walls, pumping stations, flood storage reservoirs, sluices and control structures.

This is an exciting opportunity for a strategic thinker who thrives on using creative solutions to deliver complex portfolios of work. We're seeking a Technical Leader with extensive knowledge and experience of whole life asset management; programme/project management and health and safety. Other key requirements include excellent communication skills, proficiency in data and information management to make evidence-based decisions, as well as the ability to deliver results through others. Educated to degree level in civil engineering (or similar field) or be able to demonstrate comparable technical knowledge and experience working towards chartership would be advantageous.
