Are you a great communicator? Do you enjoy working with customers to get the best outcomes? Are you interested in the natural environment and looking for a career with the Environment Agency? We're looking for a forward thinking and inquisitive person to join our Customers and Engagement Team as an Enquiries Officer.

These roles are crucial to supporting relationships with our customers in Devon, Cornwall & the Isles of Scilly. You'll champion great customer service to ensure that people find us easy to do business with. You’ll be working closely with colleagues to provide information and answer questions from a wide range of customers on just about every topic we deal with (and a few we don’t). You'll learn more about the Environment Agency and what we do too!
The Customers and Engagement team is a busy team working with colleagues across the Environment Agency to deliver excellent customer service in Devon, Cornwall & Isles of Scilly. We manage a diverse range of requests from active and informed customers, including MPs and stakeholders, to individuals wanting to find out more about their local environment. We're working to create a greater place by building an sustaining our relationships with our customers and stakeholders.
• Brilliant written and verbal communications skills
• Experience working with a variety of customers
• Interest and an understanding of the local environment in Devon, Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly
• An inquisitive nature and the desire to learn and develop
• Proven team working skills
• Ability to work as part of a team, manage your own workload and meet tight deadlines

A basic knowledge of the Freedom of Information Act and Environmental Information Regulations would be an advantage. Other key requirements for this job include proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel, and the ability to get up to speed with software packages and systems.
