BS02 Job Family Role Profile Business Support Services, Grade 2

As a member of the leadership support team, you will be required to offer administrative support to specific members of the Area Leaderships team. You will also be the point of contact for the managers you support, sharing information with different teams across the area and wider business.This can be quite a diverse and busy role, as such you have to manage and priorities your time well, as your duties can vary between updating online systems, managing team inboxes, and organising multiple crowded diaries, arranging meetings, preparing agendas and taking action notes at meetings – virtually and face to face.
Tasks that the successful candidate will complete include:• Managing the secretarial support mailbox, responding to queries, and escalating as appropriate• Setting up an ongoing schedule of meetings across the area as well as ad hoc meeting requests• Organising meeting venues and travel• Maintaining email distribution lists• Administering annual leave requests, including organising Scheme of Delegation formsResponding to incidents is a central part of what we do. You will be asked to have an incident role and make yourself available to respond to incidents or provide business continuity support during an incident. This may attract an additional payment, and full training will be provided.
Everyone starting a new role with the Environment Agency will be welcomed into the team and given all the training and support needed. As part of your comprehensive induction, you will be provided with all the equipment required for your role.

We are looking for someone who can build rapport quickly and has a proven record of successfully working well within a team and managing your own workload.
You’ll have a range of development opportunities and appropriate training will be provided.
You will be based at Alchemy Offices, Welwyn Garden City, although we have flexible hybrid working patterns.
We use smart tools to stay connected and reduce travel; some travel and overnights may be required.
