Do you want to lead, manage and motivate a team to be the best they can and to do the best we can for our communities and the environment? This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic and ambitious leadership team creating a greener, resilient and sustainable future for Greater Manchester, Merseyside and Cheshire (GMMC).

We are seeking team leaders with a flexible approach and the ability to lead, deliver our business and our inclusive people priorities. You will promote our ambitions around equality, diversity and inclusion ensuring that everyone who works here makes GMMC a life-enhancing place to work. You will also play a leading role in shaping our five-year local outcome plan which converts our ambition into delivery.

We have a number of team leader roles across the area (permanent and assignment) that would suit those who are applying for the team leader role for the first time, or an existing team leader wanting a change. In GMMC we work as ‘one-team’ and you may be required in the future to lead a different team to respond to business demand. As part of this recruitment we intend to develop a pool of potential team leaders.
Our leadership roles cover diverse range of teams across the whole of Greater Manchester, Merseyside and Cheshire. We are recruiting to teams that work in a variety of different locations both office and field based. The roles will be located in our Warrington office or at one of the depots in GMMC. You will be part of the Area Leadership Group helping to make GMMC an even better place to work and live.
Our people are our number one priority. You will be passionate about leading, developing and supporting people and will be a positive role model who can inspire others.

You will be able to balance and manage demands on the team from internal and external sources to help prioritise and manage workloads.

You will have strong leadership skills and believe that providing great leadership is fundamental to our ability to protect and improve the environment for people and wildlife. You should have experience of leading people and this may have been achieved through non-team leader roles such as project management or a technical specialist/leader role.

You will take part in incident response and support your team to do the same.
We are fully committed to being an inclusive employer and ensuring equal opportunities. We are keen to make our workforce as diverse as possible, and we hope to attract applications from underrepresented groups, including Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) people, people with a disability, LGBT and people with gender diverse identities.

We are a diverse organisation, welcoming applicants from all sections of the community.
