We are looking for individuals to deliver an excellent service to our customers, who may be members of the public or businesses and industry. The role will be to provide information and answer questions on all environment matters as well as processing Freedom of information requests. The role also involves administration duties to support various teams across the business.
Successful candidates will work alongside experienced colleagues as a Customer & Engagement Officer responding to the variety of calls and enquiries we receive in the East Midlands area. Whilst doing so you’ll learn about all aspects of the Environment Agency and the different career paths that are available.
The Customers & Engagement team are a friendly and busy team who work across all departments and teams in the area. We support the delivery of key messages and deliver great customer service to the East Midlands area.

The team plays an important role in managing relationships that are essential to our reputation and business delivery; and in providing support and guidance to our area teams.
Previous experience of working directly with customers would be preferable but is not essential. What is essential is that you have good communication skills, a positive attitude and are genuinely committed to obtaining an apprenticeship qualification.

This role is office based and will work with the rest of the Customers and Engagement team at Trentside Office in Nottingham. There may be very occasional travel to other Environment Agency offices.
