We have a number of vacancies available in our Leeds or York offices. You'll be responsible for coordinating, managing and analysing Yorkshires Flood Risk Data. We're looking for enthusiastic, organised, technical people who care about using spatial data to protect communities at risk. You'll be part of the Flood and Coastal Risk Management department covering the whole of Yorkshire. We're recruiting to strengthen our Flood Risk Data and Evidence, improving the way we understand and manage flood risk. At Grade 4 we're looking for people with experience of working with Flood Risk data, able to work independently and capable of leading a technical work stream.
Our Partnership and Strategic Overview teams develop the technical knowledge needed to deliver a strategic overview of flooding, providing compelling evidence to support our vital Flood Risk work. The Data and Evidence team coordinate the use of spatial data across the Area through strong data management and technical support, turning data into useable information. These jobs are a blend of permanent and fixed term.
You’ll be highly organised, with an efficient and logical approach to data management and workload prioritisation. You’ll also need to be someone who can work as part of a successful team to deliver real improvements.

These roles all require strong GIS skills and experience and the ability to support the following work areas:
• Creating flood risk management data products
• Supporting programme and project delivery with technical knowledge and skills
• Dealing with Requests for Information from internal colleagues, external partners and members of the public
• Data systems, management and quality control
• Spatial data analysis with ArcGIS, Mapedit, FME, Microsoft Excel
