We’re looking for a Facilities Operations Officer to provide a comprehensive, efficient and effective range of Facilities Services to help support the operational needs of the Environment Agency and its property portfolio.
Facilities Management in the Environment Agency is a nationally managed Service delivered by Corporate Assets within our Resources Directorate. Facilities Management teams manage our network of 158 offices and depots to provide safe, well maintained, legally compliant and productive workplaces for our staff as well as a range of business support services to help our people work safely, effectively and efficiently.
We’re seeking Facilities Management practitioners with office-based experience. You’ll be educated to GCSE level (or equivalent) and possess proven ability and/or knowledge of:

• A Facilities Management or similar job, including responsibilities in Health and Safety, Premises Maintenance and Internal Environmental Management;
• Building relationships with customers to maintain a positive reputation, customer service and effective resolution of issues;
• Building relationships with contractors, suppliers and other stakeholders to understand their activities and how these fit with organisational goals and reputation;
• Local project management, liaising with project managers for national initiatives;
• Monitoring and providing property performance reports; and
• Assisting in the implementation of Planned Preventative Maintenance schedules.

Other key requirements for this job include excellent communication and customer service skills, with some experience of property and / or building maintenance.

Ensure that all soft Facilities Management services are provided economically, effectively and in a professional manner to satisfy identified business needs.
Property and Building Service Maintenance
Provides maintenance and repair service to the Environment Agency’s property portfolio, which is required to meet the business needs.
Driving licence desirable

Therefore, you will not be eligible for continuous service.
