This is an exciting leadership opportunity for someone who wants to join a dynamic team and help make the North East even better. We are looking for a highly visible operational leader, able to organise, inspire and motivate people to achieve great outcomes across the North East.
As FCRM Manager you will lead the critical work we do to improve flood protection and resilience of communities across the North East. You will relish partnership working and naturally build strong relationships with our delivery partners across the Northumbria Regional Flood and Coastal Committee, and Local Resilience Forums. You will also be helping teams always look for innovation and continuous improvement, particularly around how we think differently about catchment management to deliver flood and environmental improvements
You will be part of the Area Management Team which sets the culture and direction of the Area and leads the delivery of everything we do across the North East. Reporting to the Area Director, you will lead teams responsible for developing and delivering our flood risk investment programme with partners, providing planning advice, engaging at risk communities and ensuring we are always ready to provide a first class respond to flooding when it happens.
You will be an engaging leader with the ability to influence and set our direction, always looking ahead for potential opportunities and tackling everyday challenges. You will be able to lead by example, inspire others, and build a high performing team around you.
You will be able to build trusting relationships with our partners, within and outside the Environment Agency, that help us deliver more for people at risk of flooding. As a member of the Area Management team, you will also be able to lead teams and work with senior partners across the North East during incidents
