We are looking for an enthusiastic, dynamic individual to join Operations Regulatory Services (ORS), part of National Services E&B. You will provide support to those we regulate to enable them to comply with their obligations. The role includes responding promptly to technical enquiries, driving compliance and supporting enforcement of waste and chemical regulations. You will manage and evaluate data to find the information within so you will be experienced in using excel and similar tools. You will have a high level of written and oral communication skills and provide excellent customer service to external customers and colleagues. You will work as part of the team to help improve performance.
Waste Industry and Regulatory Services (WIRS) deliver a variety of technical, administrative and compliance related activities across several regulatory regimes to help protect and improve the environment. Key areas of work are: chemical compliance, pollution inventory, material recycling, separate collections, hazardous waste, national waste operator returns, water abstraction returns.
• Ability to prioritise and manage a varied workload.
• Experience of working in support of businesses to achieve compliance with regulatory requirements is desirable but not essential
• Ability to coordinate the collection, assessment and reporting of data.
• Good interpersonal and influencing skills demonstrating the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with internal colleagues those we regulate is essential.
• Ability to interpret, analyse and diagnose problems and develop solutions
• Ability to communicate effectively with internal colleagues and those we regulate.

The job will be working within the Operations Regulatory Service based with other EA National teams at Sheffield. Some national travel is required.
