We are the Environment Agency. We protect and improve the environment. Acting to reduce the impacts of a changing climate on people and wildlife is at the heart of everything we do. We work with government, local councils, businesses, civil society groups and communities to make our environment a better place for people and wildlife. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic individual with a passion for the environment who is looking to develop their technical and interpersonal skills as part of a friendly but hardworking team. The post will offer the successful candidate the opportunity to gain industry experience and actively contribute towards delivery of the extremely varied work conducted by the Biodiversity and Geomorphology team in the Hertfordshire and North London Area.
You’ll join a Team of ecologists and geomorphologists. We deliver technical advice and guidance to all aspects of the Environment Agency’s work including our capital schemes, operations, incident response, regulation, strategies and plans, Local Authority planning consultations, advisory work and habitat enhancement projects. We deal daily with the public, NGOs, Local Authorities, Water Companies, developers and landowners assessing ecological risks and collaboratively delivering ecological benefits.
