As an Environmental Crime Officer within the Environment Agency you will be part of a team performing a variety of roles, including the registering of documents, indexing material, allocating actions, statement reading and dealing with the management of exhibits.
You will:

The Environment Agency works to create better places for people and wildlife and support sustainable development.

As part of the National Enforcement Service, you’ll be working in the Enforcement and Investigations Team, a dispersed unit bringing together significant technical know-how across all disciplines of investigative practice.

You’ll work collaboratively with colleagues from a variety of place based local teams, including Case Officers, under the direction of the Senior Investigating Officer.
As an Environmental Crime Officer you will be self-motivated and able to work with a minimum of supervision. You will need to:
· have exceptional organisational skills
· display excellent verbal and written communication skills
· show attention to detail when recording information to support the investigation
· deal with working under pressure and prioritise a varied workload
· integrate into a team, support and look out for colleagues
· demonstrate strong health, safety and wellbeing principles

You will preferably have some knowledge of the workings of an investigation, in particular performing the roles of Indexer/Action allocator. Research experience and IT skills, specifically a working knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint, would also be useful attributes. The successful candidate will also be afforded a mentor so that the required training and knowledge are provided.
2 posts are available. Location is flexible, based at local Environment Agency offices.

Some travel will be necessary and vehicle transport (e.g., hire car) will be provided.
