Joining this crucial area of the business, you’ll efficiently and effectively support our Project and Programme Managers on a diverse portfolio of projects.
Day-to-day you’ll focus on contract administration - providing contract and financial administration support to ensure that project cost payments are made to suppliers in accordance with established quality standards and processes across both the ncpms South Unit and the wider ncpms – and everything you do will bring you the daily reward of knowing that you are helping to save lives and protect homes and businesses.
Our valued National Capital Programme Management Service (ncpms) is responsible for delivering the majority of our important projects, mainly in the area of flood defence, from multimillion pound programmes for the River Thames to ground-breaking, award winning projects such as Medmerry coastal realignment.
Joining our South Unit you will be based in one of our Worthing or Reading offices as part of a team of around 100 people across the Unit.
Positive and proactive, you’re probably interested in project management and have a good academic background (A levels or equivalent). You’ll have strong organisational and planning skills and, ideally, some similar administrative experience, but if you don’t, we’ll give you all the training and support you need.
An ability to analyse and interpret data is essential.
A good team player with excellent communication skills, you’ll take pride in your work and want to benefit communities across the country.
