The Integrated Environment Planning team have an exciting role working to coordinate environmental improvements under the Water Resources drivers of WFD. This involves co-ordinating internal teams to provide an integrated environmental steer and to liaise with the water company.

Specifically the role involves

• Co-ordination of internal specialist teams to provide an integrated environmental response to our partners
• Shape, oversee and approve water company Water Resources projects to deliver environmental improvements for the current delivery period
• Planning and collating relevant evidence and documentation for the next delivery period. Identifying opportunities to work across teams and departments to deliver efficiencies and multiple benefits
• Liaison with national teams to provide a nationally consistent approach
• Coordination with wider water resources team and IEP team

You will need to use your technical leadership to ensure teams know what is expected of them and that we deliver the best outcome for people and the environment. You will be expected to coordinate delivery from several individuals in various teams

IEP are a multidisciplinary team and you will be expected to be flexible around tasks that require delivery
Integrated environment planning are a team of 11 people who provide a planning and coordination role in the area. We work closely with most area teams. We are a multidisciplinary team and have a wide scope of work areas, including - Water Framework directive, water quality, Water Resources and Regulated Industry.

We are a high performing team and we focus on ensuring we deliver in an integrated way to allow us to achieve results.
Experience/skills required

• Partnership work

• Good internal and external communication skills

• Good account management skills and the ability to multitask.
• Educated to degree level (or equivalent) ideally in an environmental discipline

An understanding of water resources and/or hydrology is desirable but not essential
