The stark threat of plastic accumulating in our land, rivers and oceans is possibly one of the greatest environmental challenges of our time. In response to this, we have established a new Plastics and Sustainability Team who are working to reduce, recover and remove plastic that could or has entered our environment.
We are looking for a talented person who can work as part of our strong team to plan, manage and deliver plastic reduction projects at all levels. You will have the freedom to use your own initiative, ambition and inspiration to focus on areas where the team will achieve targets such as plastic free coastlines.
You will also form an essential part of the wider Devon Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Area team by raising our profile and reputation.
A new team of 6 highly talented people lead by a Programme Manager, 2 Project Managers and 2 Project Officers working to support communities and businesses reduce, recover and remove plastic in the environment. The team is part of our Environmental Monitoring Assessment and Analyses Team based in Devon Cornwall and the IoS and will report to the Area Environment Manager (Environmental Monitoring).
This is an exciting and challenging role where you will have to meet and influence a wide variety of groups and leaders to stop plastic loss and reduce environmental damage. You will be expert in delivering positive change by using the power of storytelling and creating fun. You will need to deliver results through others from across our organisation and through external groups by creating an environment that is truly energised; this is where people perform at their best. We are looking for someone who is politically aware and is a confident decision maker.

UK Driving Licence
