We are looking for an enthusiastic, driven and adaptable individual to join the Thames Tideway Tunnel team in the London Area. Your work will be conducted in a high-freedom environment that: makes staff happier; focuses on health, safety and wellbeing; embraces emergent leadership; and supports your development.

This role is an exciting and unique opportunity. On a day to day basis you will have a key role as manager of the applications for Environment Agency approvals process. This involves validating applications, co-ordinating internal consultations and drafting approvals to tight timescales. Some applications will also involve liaison with the Port of London Authority and Marine Management Organisation. This role can be fast-paced and you will have to manage your time well and prioritise your workload to deliver.

You will also provide project support to the team as needed e.g. as secretariat to the Thames Tideway Tunnel Project Board and manager of the filing system, and may be given opportunities to develop the role
London Area teams work with local and national colleagues and cross-London partners to bring together and act on the environmental risks and opportunities for London. We help to shape and influence strategic plans and significant programmes of work, such as the Thames Tideway Tunnel and Thames Estuary 2100 project
You will:
• be well organised, able to prioritise a varied workload and maintain attention to detail to ensure your work is delivered to a high standard;
• demonstrate excellent communication skills, able to influence others to deliver to tight timescales;
• be self-motivated working well in team environment and under your own initiative;
• have competent IT and data skills; experience of SharePoint would be beneficial
This is a full-time assignment for an initial period of 18 months, and it is likely that approval to extend this will be sought at a later date. The role will be based in London and is eligible for London weighting.
