This is an exciting opportunity to provide inspirational leadership to the Lincolnshire & Northamptonshire Environment Programme (EP) Team, and to join the multi-disciplinary Environment, Planning and Engagement (EPE) department. This role includes both Programme Management and Team Leader responsibilities.

You will ensure that our programmes are delivered to time and budget, are place and catchment based, and collaborative and evidence led. Working with FCERM and other internal teams will be a core requirement of the role. You will be responsible for both the development, and performance, of the Area’s Environment and Water Resources Programmes.

The team comprises of senior roles (G5+). You will be responsible for motivating and developing each team member’s performance as well as maintaining a high performing team culture that influences the work of key catchment partnerships and stakeholders. You will drive consistent high performance from our partnerships and support team members in enabling this.

You'll raise the profile of the team and have an active role in the EPE Leadership Group. The role will require your leadership in Area wide business management inputting into the Water, Land & Biodiversity and FCERM business boards, as well as the Regional Flood and Coastal Committee.
The EP Team is in the EPE Department and covers Lincolnshire & Northamptonshire. It's a skilled, dedicated and dynamic team of staff leading the Area on project delivery and partnership management. It works with area and national teams, and many external organisations.

You will line manage a Catchment Delivery Manager and two Catchment Coordinators. The Catchment Delivery Manager has two members of staff so you will also act as Grandparent manager to those people.
• Excellent leadership skills, with a track record of building and developing a high functioning team to deliver key environmental outcomes.
• Experience of change management to ensure performance is maintained while consistency and efficiency is embedded.
• Experience of programme and project management.
• Excellent networking skills with experience of raising a team’s profile internally and externally to improve integrated ways of working.
• Sound knowledge of the environmental pressures impacting on our water environment.
• Problem solving and influencing skills to achieve desired outcomes with diverse customers and partners.
• Experience of embracing and adapting to new environmental funding schemes and embracing opportunities to get the most for the local environment.
• The ability to manage complex budgets and resources.
• A proven track record of promoting a diverse organisation and taking action to put people first and celebrate difference.
