We’re looking for enthusiastic and proactive leaders to join Waste Regulatory Operations Services (WROS) in achieving regulatory and environmental outcomes.
We currently have 3 Team Leader vacancies across the WROS structure, within the Producer Responsibility Regulatory Service (PRRS), WROS Investigations and the Support & Delivery teams.
You will lead, motivate and support staff in their personal development and look after their welfare on a day-to-day basis. You will also need to work closely with other teams to ensure an effective delivery of service and look to innovate and embed new ways of working.
You’ll need strong leadership skills to enable you to direct, motivate and organise the team to deliver a range of regulatory activities and continually improve the service we provide.
Applicants will have experience of leading teams and believe that providing great leadership is fundamental to our ability to protect and improve the environment. You will have good communication, influencing and decision making skills to help you do a great job and remain positive and focused on the key priorities.
Through environmental regulation, we help divert several million tonnes of waste from landfill.
We plan, monitor and deliver compliance and enforcement activity for the following areas of waste regulation; Separate Collections, Material Recovery Facilities, Packaging, Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE), Batteries and International Waste Shipments.
The Support & Delivery team supports WROS in planning, reporting, and prospective projects.
The WROSI team primarily investigate and disrupt suspected waste crime within the regimes listed above.
