To assist the Pension Administration Manager in developing and implementing our Communications Strategy to all stakeholders, including members, employers, Pension Committee and Board. This includes the delivery of training and communications, using digital and published formats, and to manage and monitor the quality standards of the Fund's Third Party Administrator, along with managing relationships with our Additional Voluntary Contribution (AVC) providers.

You will need to develop and implement innovative communication concepts to engage in a clear and integrated way. Introduce the tools to evaluate and assess all aspects of our communications to meet our digital engagement targets, along with maintaining the Fund's brand and style guide.

You will have the ability to understand, interpret and implement Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) Regulations and other overriding pension legislation, and maintain professional knowledge of industry best practice through seminars and Local Government Pension Scheme review groups.
Our Pension Fund Management team is responsible for the day to day oversight of the EAPF and use external services in the provision of Member Benefits & Administration. We are part of the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) and have around £3.5bn in assets for 40,000 members across our Active and Closed Pension Funds. We are an award winning Pension Fund and have customer service excellence at the heart of everything we do.
You will demonstrate proven experience of the pensions industry with specialist knowledge of the LGPS including benefits administration, communications and investments. We are looking for practical proven experience of member communication and engagement, particularly in a digital environment.

You will have the ability of managing outsourced pension providers.

A degree level education, and or a member of a relevant professional body (may be waived for a candidate of exceptional experience).

Other key requirements include excellent inter-personal skills, willingness to be adaptable within a small team, an effective presenter, communicator and being commercially astute.
