We are looking for a Senior Advisor to work with other senior team members to lead business management and PMO activities for Chemicals work. The role involves fast‑paced work to ensure effective and efficient use of our resources and business processes to deliver successful outcomes for our work.
You will work collaboratively to lead the co-ordination and delivery of key business needs including business planning; progress monitoring and reporting; risk management; benefits management and realisation; data management; financial forecasting, monitoring and reporting; and future funding bids
We are seeking motivated individuals with a strong track record in these areas. The defined areas of responsibility within these areas will depend partly on the skills and experience of the successful candidate.
You will work across Chemicals teams and with wider EA and Defra colleagues so excellent collaboration, communication and engagement skills and experience are also essential.
This role is for EA staff only.
We are looking for experienced candidates who can demonstrate experience leading business management activities within Environment Agency business processes, policies, financial controls and governance frameworks such as:

Flexible working patterns are welcomed, but working Fridays must be part of your normal working pattern.
You’ll have an EA Office base location but may use a hybrid of office/home working. Regular travel will be required for meetings and collaborative working, mainly to Birmingham, Bristol, London or York, but sometimes other locations. This will sometimes require overnight stays.
